Role Purpose:

·
The GB Basel 3 Reforms project team is a key team which sits within Wholesale Basel 3 Reforms programme.

·
The role holder is responsible for doing analysis that ensures the optimisation of any data attributes needed to meet the new requirements as part of the Basel 3 Reforms.

·
The role holder will support a number of initiatives that can be complex and large scale across regions and Lines of Business, also working closely with stakeholders in Regulatory Reporting, Finance, WCMR, Client Profitability and Capital Modelling teams.

Key Accountabilities:

The responsibilities for this role will include:

·
Providing detailed analysis with regards to the delivery of the Basel 3 Reforms data and capital efficiency projects that achieve strategic business outcomes.

·
Providing analysis and systems knowledge required to deliver projects on time, to cost and quality.

·
Ensuring the design and development of change that aligns with Group standards, corporate & business strategy and relevant regulatory and operational risk controls.

·
Managing the reporting of progress, issues, dependencies and risks to GB management committees and making recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.

·
Extensive collaboration across global teams including the wider COO teams to ensure buy-in & alignment.

·
Assisting in the integration of complex operational activities with communications to executive management where necessary.

·
Driving the use of the Transformation Lifecycle and Agile methodologies across GB.

·
Leading working groups & brainstorming sessions to identify appropriate solutions to business problems.

Qualifications :

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications (for the role – not the role holder. Minimum requirements of the role)

The successful candidate will have the below experience and qualifications:

· 
Basel 3 Reforms experience and an understanding of the changes required to ensure compliance.

· 
Strong understanding of the analysis required to support business requirements and work across multiple areas e.g. Risk, Finance, Transformation, etc.

· 
Ability to write detailed and comprehensive business requirement documents.

· 
Provide support to junior analysts.

· 
Experience of delivering complex transformation projects or programmes; with a track record of strategic transformation delivery.

· 
Strong understanding and experience of using the Transformation Lifecycle or equivalent project management methodology

· 
Agile execution trained with strong familiarity in design thinking (process analysis, target operating models and solution design)

· 
Technical knowledge of big data, automation, distributed ledger technologies or digital delivery

· 
Subject matter expertise of at least one business or function within GB.

· 
Ability to prioritise work within competing demands, to successfully deliver services to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing technical and business environment

· 
Excellent written and oral communications skills

· 
Experience of running workshops and presenting at Executive Committee level

· 
Strong stakeholder management skills – managing multiple personas across multiple businesses and regions

· 
Experience of dealing with global teams

· 
Ability to understand the business, product or service area and work to resolve issues quickly, accurately and with confidence

· 
Experience in driving strategy discussions on a macro level for a business line or function

· 
Ability to design solutions that encompass new ideas and Innovation & embed these into projects and programmes.
