We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Data Management

Principal Responsibilities

·
Assist Hang Seng Insurance CDO to lead and support data strategy initiatives.

· Partner closely with all stakeholders of the Group & Bank (IT, Business, Functions) to align directives and deliverables.
· Understand business processes and requirements to ensure deliverables are meeting the scope.
· Act as a single point of contact for the responsible data projects and initiatives, including but not limited to regulatory & compliance project, data analytics & science.
· Throughout the lifecycle of the project, the data manager will also be responsible for enforce data principles to the stakeholders /subject matter experts / BAU processes, thus promoting and driving the data culture.
· Focus on Data Governance to manage the implementation of all Data Quality (DQ) dashboards, lead all the DQ rules refinements and drive DQ issues resolutions to maintain a high quality standard for all critical data identified.
· Perform business analytics and be able to propose, recommend and drive solutions to enable data analytic initiatives or strengthen risk control.

Desired profile



Qualifications :

Qualifications

· 
University degree in Information Management / Computer Science or other relevant qualifications.

· 
Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in life insurance industry, with LOMA, or passes in the Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examinations a definite advantage.

· 
Knowledge on some common Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Qliksense), working experience on Data Governance, BCBS and data analytics will be an advantage.

·  Hands-on experience in transformation projects management, data lineage / data quality management, or data analytics and processing will be advantage.
· 
Possesses strong management skills, e.g. experience of working with different levels of stakeholders.

· 
Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business users, consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business units.

·  Strong interpersonal skills and able to build and maintain global relationships.
·  Excellent leadership, project and time management skills, proven ability of planning and problem solving.
·  Proven ability to prioritize competing demands.
·  Be delivery focused with ability to pay attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality.
·  Proven experience in identifying and managing the risks, issues and dependencies related to complex data projects.
·  Outstanding written / verbal communication and presentation skills.
· 
Previous experience in managing projects / programmes.

·  Strong self-motivation with ability of working effectively under pressure and commitment to process improvements.
· 
Proficiency in both English and Chinese.

· 
Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes.
