The principal responsibility of the Business Analysis is to manage and execute analysis activity for one or more programmes. The role holder may be located in a variety of areas of HSBC, they may be located in projects as well as in established BAU teams.

To initiate and develop a variety of high risk regulatory, compliance and legal remediation projects, as required by the regulator and/or senior management. To oversee and drive the project forward, in line with the Business Redress Framework, delivering key project milestones.

The Jobholder is responsible for ensuring that all work is completed within the Bank's internal guidelines. Internal and external regulation and that they do not compromise the Regulators principle of (TCF).

In this role, you will be responsible for:

· Capturing, analysing and documenting business process.
·
Participating in the designing of solutions or change interventions.

·
Participating in change management activities which can include tasks such as timeline planning to stakeholder engagement.

·
Collaborating in change interventions such as training and communication.

·
Tracking and documenting progress and managing status reporting.

· Assisting in the implementation of solutions.
·
The Business Review Centre reports directly to Senior Management, forming part of the Chief Control Office, which spans multiple locations and functions across the UK.

·
We are part of the UK Bank and essentially work within the UK and sometimes Channel Islands/Isle of Mann

The Centre operates within the ever-changing environment of the Financial Services industry in general and more specifically the high profile and complex area of regulated products. As a result it is necessary to continually evolve practices to maintain compliance with regulatory developments and to ensure that the Bank Strategy to become the world's leading international bank is applied locally throughout everything we do.

Accountable to support the Business Review Centre in achieving its remediation objectives. Required to have the ability to react quickly to changing priorities by being flexible, proactive, innovative and creative in terms of solution design, whilst maintaining consideration for control, integrity and security of customer data and/or records.

·
Responsible for the design and planning requirements of remediation projects.

·
Expected to undertake ad-hoc tasks as and when necessary.

·
Required to analyse information and identify key factors. Consider options available and make decisions strictly within the work guidelines stipulated by the regulator and advisory bodies.

·
Responsible for meeting operational targets relating to set timelines, budgets and quality.

·
Accountable for enhancing and maintaining working relationships with appropriate stakeholders.

·
Required to manage internal and external stakeholders' expectations/ targets are met as advised.

·
To actively contribute to the team, challenges existing practices and generates new solutions. Assists colleagues to meet deadlines and standards.

· Apply all data security best practices throughout the day.

Desired profile



Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

· 
Certified to Business Analysis Practitioner standard, holding the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or its equivalent (highly desirable).

· 
Further qualifications may be required dependent on the terms of reference of the remediation project being undertaken.

· 
A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working in a banking environment and change projects (essential).

· 
Previous experience in a customer remediation environment (desirable).

· 
Past working experience with relevant methodologies, i.e. AGILE, PRINCE2, Risk Based Project Management, Six Sigma.

·  Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
· 
An understanding of the Agile project lifecycle (essential).

· 
Project management skills and experience (essential).

· 
Excellent attention to detail required at all times to ensure accuracy in recording, storing and maintaining critical data (essential).

·
