We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of GCB5 Business Analysis - Accounting Rules

The role will focus on the delivery of financial data from FTP to serve financial reporting, operational accounting, and other downstream finance systems. The role will be involved in supporting business initiated projects and other Finance projects that are impacting FTP

In this role, you will:

· Manage and lead a team to translate financial reporting and operational accounting requirements into technical requirements for product system and FTP inbound development.
· Manage and lead a team to develop accounting rules to translate banking transactions from product system into general ledger entries and account arrangement records.
·
Ensure data population satisfies financial reporting data needs, outbound feeds, GRCA mappings and assurance of FTP GRCA solution.

·
Adopting a collaborative approach to working with other FTP teams and organisations, both on and off-shore. .

· Promote the value of challenging the status quo, seeking to improve ways of working and having a forward-thinking mind-set, in line with the Group's Values and Strategy
· Ensure the delivery of documentation and output to a high professional standard.
· Clear communication to FTP Data Sourcing and Mapping Lead of risks, issues and successes.
· Provide a high level of commitment and dedication to the success of the implementation of FTP globally.
· Ensure suitable Control mechanisms are utilised and introduced whenever appropriate into both system and process design.
· Support FTP Teams at Global Finance Centres (GFC) as required.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behaviour.
· Ensure data quality issues identified during the requirements gathering, analysis and design stages are formally assessed and managed to ensure Finance end state vision and associated benefits are realized.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·  Accounting qualification
· 
Knowledge and understanding of Finance and Banking Systems

· 
Knowledge of Accounting and Financial Reporting.

· 
Knowledge and experience with data mapping and data extraction tools

· 
Experience of ascertaining, defining and constructing Business Requirement documentation.

·  Experience within a Project environment.
·  Ability to manage multiple deliverables, often with competing deadlines
·  Ability to act as the interface between the Business and IT Functions
·  Ability to take ownership of tasks and pursue to closure
·  Team player
· 
Good interpersonal skills

· 
Proactive with drive and energy

·  Strong communications skills
·  Problem solving and solution orientated.
