Job description



Responsibilities

The Finance Services member plays a critical role in governance and reporting requirements of a Direct Costs and recoveries Globally for HOST Technology. Working closely with the Global Businesses and Functions IT COOs and their representatives along with Technology Finance team. The role will lead the team and support the Financial Services head with planning, governance and reporting requirements for the IT Finance Service. Facilitating the sharing and development of standard tools and best practice.

Qualification

PG - Any PG Course - Any Specialization, preference for MBA.

Experience & Skills:

Understanding Direct Costs

4 Candidate has understanding of how direct costs are accounted/accrued for and its impact on financial statements.

4 To understand actuals in order to drive forecasts with year-end target in focus.

4 Added benefits if candidate demonstrates understanding of General Ledgers and intercompany transactions.

4 Participate in direct costs working groups to improve and prevent issues in recoveries.

Understanding Recoveries

4 Understanding of recoveries of internal departments

4 Able to correlate directs to recoveries

4 Added advantage if understands HSBC HOST Technology billing system

4 Participate in HOST Billing Process Improvement meetings / discussion to improve and prevent issues in recoveries.

Financial Analysis and Insights

4 Possesses a drive to analyze root cause of the issues.

4 Comes up with the solution and can articulate the same to wider stakeholders

4 Can organize and prioritize in order to manage stakeholders effectively

4 Understands the Management Information tools available such as Qlik, Tableu..etc.

4 Understands how database works such as SQL.

4 Can extract and analyze large volume of dataset.

4 Act as IT SME lead for GMS team for changes to FORUM MI/Reports

Specific Skills Expectations:

4 Leadership role and hence must have experience in building cohesive and high performing team. People manager with key interest in development of team via development for each team member.

4 Excellent planning, organization and prioritization skills, including financial management capability

4 Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including ability to produce focused/ succinct communications/ presentations suitable for senior management

4 Strong interpersonal skills - able to build effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff in a matrix environment

4 Good understanding of IT Global Operations structures, processes and objectives, ideally with some knowledge of IT GB/GF & Transformation

4 Analytical reasoning and good problem solving ability

4 Ability to leverages resources outside of direct control to achieve collective goals

4 Self-starter capable of delivering sometimes in ill-defined / new domains often on a virtual / remote basis

4 Resilience and ability to respond within a fast paced environment

4 Hands on experience & advance MS office skill

4 At least 10-year experience in supporting planning and reporting

4 At least 10-year experience in financial institution or IT

4 Ability to work independently as well as a team member

4 Ability to adopt to changing business environment

4 Ability to work within international environment
