Our sector-focused Banking relationship managers provide a single coverage point for multi-national clients. With our global capabilities and footprint, vast expertise and local knowledge, our Banking teams connect clients to the products and services that meet their global financial needs.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Associate, Multinationals.

Principal responsibilities

· To work as a local Relationship Manager to develop and grow profitable long-term relationships with clients within the designated portfolio for both in country and cross border business, working with Global Relationship Bankers and Product Partners
· To grow revenues across allocated portfolio, successfully defending and serving existing business in addition to originating new value added revenue streams
· The role is on the specific team which covers clients in the Industrials, Autos, Chemicals, Healthcare, Services, Construction, and Building Materials sectors
· Establish a holistic understanding of clients' needs and deliver innovative high value solutions across all product lines, gaining significant business and sustainable returns for the Group
· To maximize returns from the customer portfolio and to maximize the Banks share of customer wallet
· Act as per Global Standards and manage risks such as Credit and Customer Due Diligence processes of the clients within the portfolio
· The role is located in Hong Kong and may include Regional Relationship responsibility

Requirements

·  Proven ability to gain business for the Group across a full range of products
·  Good track record of building and developing long-term relationships including at key decision maker level for all clients
·  Good knowledge of HSBC Group and products, and a good network of contacts across all business areas
·  Proven record of proactively developing and originating client solutions
·  Good understanding of risk management and risk mitigation spanning credit and financial crime risk
·  Strong English language capability both written and verbal
·  Strong communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail, hardworking and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
