Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a VLSI Physical Design Engineer to work in the Fort Collins, CO office. Our Physical Design engineers are responsible for the definition, design, and implementation of HPE's next generation ASICs. Our designs are built to meet timing, power, and manufacturability requirements. The team consists of persons strong in both automated and custom circuit design methodologies. We leverage industry standard tools and invent new methodologies to meet the pressing demands of today's cutting edge ASICs. You will design, analyze, develop, modify and evaluate VLSI components and hardware systems. This involves building physical implementations through development of multidimensional designs, analyzing designs to establish operating data, conducting experimental tests and evaluating results to enable prototype and production VLSI solutions. 

Education and Experience Required:

·  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering, or equivalent
·  0-2+ years of industry experience in full custom, CMOS design 
·  Experience with programs involving multiple organizations and locations
·  Experience with industry standard synthesis, place, route and analysis tools

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Familiar in Electrical Engineering fundamentals, digital logic, computer architecture
·  Knowledge of a programming or scripting language in a UNIX environment
·  Coursework in VLSI design or VLSI concepts; CMOS circuit design and/or device physics
·  Fluency in English along with strong verbal and written communication skills
·  Commitment, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a team oriented environment is essential
·  Enjoy learning and working on and around computer hardware
