Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to work in the Fort Collins, CO office. This individual designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs test automation framework, infrastructure, libraries and test-cases for a variety of Storage Products.  You need to enjoy learning new technologies and solving complex problems. You will contribute to expanding the existing back-end automation framework infrastructure and libraries, as well as writing automated test-cases as part of your day to day activities. Our goal is for 100% automation.

You will work closely with development engineers, product-management, and program-management. The engineering teams are very collaborative and friendly. Therefore, being a good team player is essential to the role. The key skills we value are programming ability, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. You care about how systems work and in proving that they do work.

Responsibilities:

·  Create, enhance, extend and maintain test automation libraries, frameworks and test-cases.
·  Collaborate on the integration of test automation in software build and deployment processes.
·  Participate in the design, development, documentation, analysis and testing of assigned projects.
·  Work as part of an Agile team to analyze project requirements with the goal of increasing automated testability and decreasing risk.
·  Work as part of an Agile team to develop processes for effective monitoring and reporting of automation test cycle results.
·  Communicate and support all project-related information in a timely and professional manner as dictated by team needs and testing processes.
·  Coordinate automated testing for and participate in release activities.
·  Investigate, reproduce, log and escalate reported defects.
·  Define and promote test automation best practices, standards and processes.
·  Coordinate and manage automated testing efforts for concurrent projects.
·  Guide and coach teams to adopt and implement applicable testing best practices and expectations.
·  Act as key knowledge resource for testing automation training and supporting other team members as appropriate.
·  Gain an overall understanding of how customers make use of the Storage products being developed.

Education and Experience Required:

·  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
·  Typically 0-2 years experience

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Direct experience with Python is required (version 3 desired), seeking at least intermediate level knowledge
·  Fluency programming in at least one object oriented language; ideally comfortable with both C/C++ and Java
·  Experience with software development processes; particularly with test-driven development fundamentals, including the creation and management of tests using popular testing frameworks (pytest)
·  Experience or knowledge transitioning manual tests to automated tests.
·  Experience using Git, JIRA, and Bugzilla
·  Familiar with Agile development processes
·  Familiar with Virtual machines setup and use
·  Familiar with Linux (RPM based preferred)
·  Comfortable setting up necessary test beds (hardware, software, I/O, etc.)
·  Good analytical and problem solving skills.
·  Good understanding of design for software systems running on multiple platform types
·  Good understanding of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures
·  Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English.
