The primary objective of this position is to create differentiation in HPE platform security. Platform security covers the entire product life cycle: manufacture, operation and end of life. Platform security encompasses hardware components, system firmware, operating system kernels, services and customer workloads.

The initial task will be to deliver an implementation of platform certificates for HPE servers and ensure that that implementation remains consistent as the Trusted Computing Group evolves the standard over the next 12-18 months. This will involve close collaboration with colleagues in the Volume Server Business Unit, Supply Chain, HPE security experts representing the company in the Trusted Computing Group.

In this role you will be expected to apply scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and innovation for the company products, services and solutions in the are of platform security. This may involve coordinating organizational and research efforts, across single or multiple disciplines. The candidate is expected to maintain and develop substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art research and engineering principles and theories in the area of platform security. They may participate in development of patent applications. They will be expected to participate in activities to establish thought leadership, intellectual property (IP), and technical influence internal and external to the company.

How you'll make your mark:

· 
Participates as a member of team of other research engineers carrying out the investigation, design, development, execution, and implementation of scientific research projects to generate new products, technologies, and intellectual property in the area of platform security

· 
Creates portions of research plans, investigative procedures, and collection and analysis guidelines for assigned investigation; collaborates with internal and external partners to perform experiments and validations in accordance with research plan.

· 
Develops and carries out portions of protocols and processes for collecting, recording, and analyzing data; communicates results and conclusions to team members for review and feedback.

· 
Prepares literature and presentations for peer review, publication, and delivery at industry and scientific events and conferences; creates patent applications and supporting documentation.

About you:

· 
Using scientific design and data collection methodologies, tools and analysis packages to collect, validate, and analyze research data.

· 
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

· 
Application and implementation of experimental design, scientific procedures and processes, and data analysis.

· 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

· 
Ability to effectively communicate research plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.
