We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Storage Principal/Senior PreSales Engineer to be based in Singapore.  This role reports into the APAC General Manager of Storage & Incubation Sales & works across the region.   Ideally you will be well-rounded across a range of Storage, Hyperconverged, Cloud & Virtualisation technologies.   You will have the capability to be both hands on (maybe have some recent implementation experience), & have the ability to present to technical & business audiences, & whiteboard complex concepts in an engaging manner.

Role Responsibilities:

·  Participate in deep-dive discussions to effectively leverage Storage & translate the technical view into the implementation view when proposing solutions
·  Maintain excellent communication with customers at the C-level & deliver workshops to deepen understanding of the proposed technical solution & its financial impact
·  Orchestrate the design of complex proposals to deliver exceptional value to customers by actively promoting company strategic initiatives
·  Engage the full portfolio of partners to extend reach, enhance knowledge, leverage resources, relationships, & technical solutions, to accomplish goals.
·  Partner together to identify gaps & address needs to accelerate channel business
·  Set direction & deliver guidance to improve processes & establish policies that enhance business strategies
·  Monitor the changing competitive landscape & effectively counter competitor value propositions.  Increase the company share of wallet through competitive takeout, demonstrating technical superiority, & leveraging other company services for better TCO/ROI
·  Work to build reputation & personal \'brand\' inside the company & externally by assisting peers through blogs, white papers, participating in conferences, & by effectively utilizing social media

Skills & Experience Required:

·  A minimum of 10 years + IT industry experience
·  Proven success in  Presales &/or technical consultative selling role
·  Expertise in Storage.  Familiarity with storage-related solutions e.g. HPE, Dell, EMC, NetApp, Compellent, EqualLogic etc.
·  Working knowledge of Virtualisation & Cloud technologies such as VMware/Hyper-V, Azure, AWS highly regarded
·  Understanding of hyper converged, compute & connectivity technologies & wider integration in the Data Centre
·  Ability to talk about technical subjects & deliver technical presentations or training to audiences with both technical & non-technical backgrounds
·  Ability to articulate the business outcome & ROI of a solution to all stakeholders up to C-level
·  Willingness & ability to travel when required
