The BI Developer will be working within the Global Ops Business Intelligence & Reporting organization. This organization is responsible delivering a solid platform for WW business to work productively and effectively on. The team in which the BI Developer will be working is a professional and dedicated one, fully focused on creating innovative & complex solutions for each of the business needs and having spectacular achievements as result of high intention, sincere effort and skillful execution. Its purpose is to create BI solutions/reports based on this environment, at Global level but also in the countries/sub-regions and alignment with World Wide initiatives.

MISSION
The Global Ops Business Intelligence & Reporting supports the business by providing and analyzing Global business information but also for regions/sub-regions and alignment with Global initiatives.
The output of the work consists of reports or applications which synthesize business information concerning the activities within the Sales Operations Organizations.

OBJECTIVES
• Transposes new business requirements received from Project Manager into relevant metrics & reports/applications according to the BRD specifications.  Develops customized solutions to link data, show in specific layouts, store, locate, and retrieve documents, data, and information using the appropriate infrastructure & tools.
• Cooperates with all levels of Sales Operations  and intensively with the Project Managers in the BI Organization to ensure state of the art reporting development at global and country/sub-regional level.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works in a team of other reporting developers under the guidance of a reporting project manager; is expected to work well in this set-up to ensure excellent teamwork is maintained.
• Ensures that customer deadlines are met and if these are not realistic informs the project manager upfront what the realistic deadlines are and agrees these with the project manager & customer.
• Ensures the quality of reports is excellent and that they are reliable and can be produced consistently.
• Provides support on the reports developed by timely responding to end-user requests.
• May handle ad-hoc reporting requests received via specific tool, following the team procedure for request solving.
• Collaborates with the IT-coordinator or with the BI Architect regularly, as well as with the project manager to ensure the goals agreed are being reached and the appropriate infrastructure is used.
• Performs as a report development specialist and is able to produce reports to meet customers’ requirements, using appropriate technical solutions in the background.
• Design and develop complex, high quality, scalable and extendable reporting solutions.

Develop customized solutions to link data, show in specific layouts, store, locate, and retrieve documents, data, and information.
• May be part of the project team, working closely with the Project Manager and customer to ensure the goals are met and coordinating a team of reporting specialists/developers in order to achieve the objective agreed with the customer.

• Analyze technologies, technical processes and/or functions, document findings, identify areas for improvement and create specifications and implement.
• Ensure that the solutions developed are documented and necessary knowledge is transferred toward the BI Operations operational owner who ensure the recurrent maintenance of those solutions.
• Ensure technical feasibility checks for new projects or report requests create a proposal and give potential timeframes for development activities.
• Provides guidance and leadership to entry level employees.
• Impacts team as a project manager on small, low complexity projects.
• Programming using C#, HTML5, CSS3, Jquery Mobile and XAML
• Setup Data Sources with SQl Server 2012 and Web services
• WCF consumer design and SOAP service designs
• JSON integration and Resource oriented Architecture
• Versioning of SOAP and REST endpoints

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training and communication

• Attend all required trainings and provide feedback, information and recommendations in support of training improvements.
• Assist new comers as per request in completing their mandatory trainings/tasks from the New Employee Orientation program.
• May deliver or assist in delivering trainings and/or presentations on BI organization or general business issues.
• Act as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts.
• Ensure transparency of information, by properly documenting and storing on Share Point the information of public interest.
• Respect HPE confidentiality and private information policies by disclosing reports generated exclusively to authorized receivers.

Internal regulations

• Responsible to care for and secure equipment under your ownership during the duration of your employment with HPE.
• Ensure proper backup and handover during vacation and other absence.
• Apply Control & Quality policies to ensure HPE policies and audit requirements are met.
• Responsible for ensuring personal conduct as in keeping with Hewlett-Packard’s standards of business conduct while representing HPE.

• Perform additional activities assigned by managers.
• Support the department’s development projects with relevant data and actions.
