The primary function of a Technical Customer Service Associate Engineer is to provide engineering support for Henkel's new or existing semiconductor materials product lines. Handle laboratory projects, technical queries, and service requests received from customers, distributors, engineers, and other departments within Henkel. Aid in the design of the plans and perform the work on laboratory projects. Provide accurate technical information on products, equipment, and services offered by Henkel to customers, distributors, field sales representatives, and other Henkel personnel. Maintain laboratory equipment and chemical inventories.

What we offer

· Work with engineers to determine the best plan to meet the project objective. This includes the use of experimental design techniques. Perform testing of products or equipment according to the project plan.
· Handle technical queries concerning potential or existing applications from customers, distributors, field representatives, and other Henkel personnel. This may include performance troubleshooting, process techniques, safety procedures, and health concerns.
· Purchase capital equipment for the laboratories. Purchase special materials for projects as well as purchasing the general laboratory supplies(Including Henkel Products)
· Maintain, clean, organized and safe laboratories. This includes maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, maintain a proper level of Henkel products and general laboratory supplies, insuring the facilities are properly functioning and making sure proper chemical labeling and storage practices are followed in the labs.
· Maintain neat and accurate records of work performed on projects in a laboratory notebook. Maintain appropriate records to technical information regarding Henkel's products, processes and competitors.
· Communicate results of testing performed through written reports, videotapes or verbally. This includes working with engineers, salesmen and customers on the telephone, in the engineering laboratories, or at the customer location.
· Set up/operate/program standard as well as specialized equipment used to dispense or cure Henkel products.
· Set up/operate/calibrate/maintain complex instrumentation used to characterize Henkel products and equipment.
· Participate on work teams. This includes product development (PD) work teams, customer problem solving teams and departmental problem solving teams.
· Ability to apply creativity and innovation to solving technical problems. Routinely uses knowledge of customer application methods and external literature in project work.
· Provides on-site customer support for developmental/commercialized products and follows Henkel's PPE guidelines when handling chemicals
· Conducts all PD/TS laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective

Who we are looking for

·  Associates Degree plus 3 years experience or a Bachelors Degree in a technical field required.
·  Must have good mechanical aptitude and laboratory skills.
·  The ability to work autonomously on multiple projects is essential.
·  Positive history in writing and presenting technical presentations to internal customers.
·  Experience in operating equipment for semiconductor packaging applications such as flip chip, dispense, jetting, die attach, wire bond, dicing, lamination, etc.
·  Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical, and mechanical data.
·  Demonstrated ability to partner with other team members in product development programs.
·  Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Microsoft Project, and Statistical Analysis Software is preferred.
