Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer

Overview:

A global payments provider, are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer to join our team in Dublin.
They have big ambitions for the business and are seeking a person that shares these ambitions Company is continuously improving the world of payments by offering smart, innovative and scalable industry-specific solutions as well as providing secure and cost-effective payment products to businesses of every size.


Responsibilities:

*Create and optimise SQL queries
*Work with business users and development teams to define the technical requirements and deliver the BI Solutions
*Create/update reports and dashboards according to the business needs to support the decision-making process
*Provide support and guidance to business users of BI self-service tool
*The ability to extract and transform data from multiples sources
*The ability to present results to management
*Strong understanding of Databases & Data Warehousing principles and methodologies in order to be able to improve/add new functionalities to the existing Data warehouse
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Self-Motivated Individual with the ability to work in a team and on own initiative
*Ability to work on projects with multiple working streams and competing deadlines

Qualifications & Attributes

*3 year's experience preferably in a Finance or Business Intelligence position
*Advanced RDBMS and SQL skills (Experience with PostgreSQL an advantage)
*Advanced ETL design and development skills (Experience with Pentaho an advantage)
*Strong knowledge of Data warehousing design and development
*Experience with reporting tools (Experience with JasperSoft an advantage)
*Data Visualisation experience (Experience with Tableau an advantage)
*Comfortable working in a Linux environment
*Experience working in a financial services environment
