MISSION :  

 

The Material Coordinator has the overall responsibility of procurement functions for identified indirect product line(s) and consumables. Specific duties include:

·  Compile and maintain records of type, quantity, and value of material, sale, equipment, merchandise or supplies stocked in establishment
·  Count equipment, merchandise, material, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records using computer or manually
·  Compute figures from records, such as production records, sales orders or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory
·  Verify computer data with physical count of inventory levels and adjust errors as necessary; investigate and report reasons for discrepancies if applicable
·  Compile information on receipt equipment, merchandise or disbursement of material, or supplies and cost
·  Prepare reports on price lists, inventory balance, and shortages
·  Stock and issue merchandise or materials
·  Order entry of materials as min/max level dictate
·  Interaction with suppliers and relevant internal customers on a recurring basis
·  Responsible for interaction with internal customers
·  Responsible for physical movement of materials within the production area
·  May operate manufacturing handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies and other material handling equipment

PROFILE:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
·  2 years of purchasing and/or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment
·  SAP experience is strongly preferred
·  Expertise with MS Office Suite, (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn Easy’O System
·  Able to stand for extended periods and lift items in excess of 50lbs
·  Record-keeping (computerized) and purchase order experience
·  Ability to utilize and manage database inventory system(s) (as administrator) currently in use throughout the facility along with the ability to troubleshoot and correct issues
·  Excellent customer service skills and ability to identify customer needs
·  Willingness/ability to work overtime and weekends
