Role Summary/Purpose
The Sourcing Intern helps the Buyer on daily tasks as a direct point of contact with the suppliers assigned to their buy, helping to resolve issues, and obtain delivery dates from suppliers to guarantee material being delivered when needed.
Essential Responsibilities
· Creation of purchase orders.
· Interacts with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time.
· Daily tracking and follow up on domestic and international shipments.
· Quotes for items needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
· Currently studying International Business, Industrial Engineering, or similar educational background.
· English knowledge required – excellent oral and written communication.
· Full time intern.
Desired Characteristics
· Team player with strong oral and written communication skills.
· Proactive, accurate and detail oriented.
· PC proficiency (MS Office applications).
