Role Summary/Purpose
· The Production Control Engineer is in charge of translating the production schedule into an actionable program for the fabrication sheet metal area of the shop. In this position the engineer is also in charge of assuring the optimal utilization of the raw material to achieve the material cost out goals that the business has. Responsibilities include leading a team of hourly employees.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead the daily on-time delivery of the program of the machines to the production department.
· • Responsible of leading the programmers on daily basis (hourly employees)
· • Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.
· • Ensure the material & labor cost-out commitments are met and surpassed.
· • Ensure data quality transmission from SAP and Windchill to the nesting program.
· • Actively attack all the urgencies of production
· • Lead Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals
· • Drive LEAN manufacturing implementation.
· • Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations. Assure that corrective action is taken to resolve observed safety concerns in all areas.
· • Lead continuous improvement through Process Controls & Problem Solving Culture.

Qualifications/Requirements
B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related degree from an accredited university or college
· • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
· • Proven indirect leadership to influence change.
· • Proficient use of Excel and SAP
· • Understanding of QA and testing procedures.
Good team worker in international teams.
· • Able to fluently speak and write in English
· • Good analytical and planning skills
· • Technical knowledge on nesting programs
· • Organized and self-learner.
· • Ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity.
