Role Summary/Purpose

This role " Operator (Shift Supervisor)" shall be responsible for managing Simple Cycle Power Plant Operations from
both Control Room and Local Field level. Manage a team of operators (both control room operators and
local field operators) in the shift during commissioning phase of Samawa Power Project ensuring safety of
all personnel and equipment.
Duration: 6 months Fixed term contract based in Samawa Power Project, Iraq.
Essential Responsibilities

1. Manage operation of Simple Cycle Power plant during commissioning & start up.
2. Manage a team of operators both control room operators and local field Operators.
3. Ensure safety of all personnel and equipment during commissioning operations.
4. Participate, assist / support different commissioning activities like flushing, cleaning, start up and testing.
5. Provide feedback to Commissioning team on any problems faced during operations.
6. Manage maintenance activities during commissioning and start up.
7. Provide On Job training for Client operation and maintenance team
Qualifications/Requirements

Experienced in Operations of Simple Cycle Power Plant with MKVIe control systems
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / instrumentation / Plant operations
Strong process knowledge on Simple cycle power plant - GT, BOP and Electrical systems
Desired Characteristics

Strong Team Player with good communication skills.
Able to work on project site location - in shift.
Experienced in Operations of Simple Cycle Power Plant with MKVIe control systems
Team management skills
