Role Summary/Purpose

In this role as a Human Resources Manager (HRM), you will provide client support for assigned business leaders and employees (both exempt and non-exempt) at the GE Aviation facility in Wilmington, NC. HRMs provide assistance resolving employee issues and provide guidance and coaching in the areas of culture and performance management, ensuring a high-level of HR compliance and process integrity.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Serve as a first point of contact for employees & managers for HR-related topics
·  Partner with plant leadership to define the site’s critical HR activities and support plant communication, organizational design and employee engagement
·  Perform a leadership role in staffing (both internal and external) and onboarding; ensure positive candidate and new hire experience
·  Provide counsel in the design and implementation of compensation and recognition programs
·  Assist employees in understanding and accessing available benefits
·  Provide support and/or deliver training on a variety of Human Resources topics including interviewing, front-line leader development, EEO compliance, and creating an inclusive environment
·  Conduct annual People Reviews, complete attrition analysis, and develop succession / staffing plans
·  Act as an advocate to employees to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment
·  Ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices; provide guidance on disciplinary issues and performance management
·  Manage HR compliance activities including state and federal filings, and affirmative action plan(s)
·  Collaborate with HR colleagues to advance key initiatives and complete projects for the site, value stream and across the supply chain

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree In Human Resources or related field from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Human Resources)

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources

Desired Characteristics

·  Prior experience working in manufacturing environments and experience working directly with production employees

·  Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial / Labor Relations, or Business Administration from an accredited university or college

·  HRLP Graduate

·  Ability to communicate effectively; demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; demonstrated ability to influence others and provide coaching

·  Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and manage projects

·  Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems; excellent customer service skills

·  Must have a high level of integrity in dealing with information of a confidential nature

·  Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

·  Knowledge of HR compliance to include EEO / AAP, FMLA, FLSA, NLRB, etc.

·  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to anticipate needs proactively and able to react effectively with short notice

·  Proficient computer skills; strong skills in the use of Microsoft Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), internet, & web-based applications
