Role Summary/Purpose

The GE Hitachi Facilities Engineer will install, maintain and repair internal factory equipment. The role also serves as team lead for employees who perform maintenance and tool making.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Facilities Engineer you will:

·  Perform technical work specific to electrical, equipment reviews and other related engineering assignments. Provides approval and sign-off on engineering design & certifications
·  Work with external vendors including civil, electrical and/or other engineering specialty skill sets
·  Ensure that manufacturing premises are fully operational, maintained and cleaned These activities are manufacturing specific and excludes grounds keeping, caterers, etc
·  Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods
·  Communicate across direct organization. Presents to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific technical space and to cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to the overall strategy. Communicates across the function in area of expertise
·  Connect the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business
·  Support project execution, within cross functional internal teams, and interface with customers

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
·  Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Facility Engineering
