Role Summary/Purpose

The primary function of this role is to provide Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional advice and hands on support to four Wind Farm Sites in Australia (Ararat VIC, Willogolehce SA, Silverton NSW and Mumbida WA) We are looking for someone to be based at either Ararat VIC or Silverton NSW site. You will be required to travel amongst the four sites.
Essential Responsibilities

This position is considered a member of GE's Renewable Energy Services team, and will not have any direct reports. You will be responsible for; 

·  Implementation and development of the Environment, Health and Safety management plan and systems.  
·  Ensure site compliance to applicable management systems, legislation and standards. 
·  Assist site leadership with major works scope planning. 
·  Develop, implement and deliver EHS program training, monitor and manage competency record control.  
·  Drive key performance indicators within the business to achieve annual targets. 
·  Carry out workplace inspections and audits 
·  Complete all required internal and external reporting in a timely manner. 
·  Promote our culture and Stop Work Authority with workers and contractors.
·  Contribute to weekly site EHS coordination meetings. 
·  Investigate incidents and events and complete reporting within required time frames. 
·  Liaise with all operational stakeholders on EHS related matters. 
·  Maintain record keeping to company requirements 
·  Manage training requirements and records. 
·  Review Contracts and plans to capture scope progression 
·  Coordinate emergency event response and drills. 
·  Assist in PPE management for the team, deliver training as required. 
·  Ensure environmental compliance throughout operational activities.
·  Carry out internal site compliance audits
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Must be willing to travel amongst Wind Farm Sites 
·  3 years' experience in Wind industry or related industries and construction 
·  Nationally recognised Work Health and Safety (WHS) qualification  
·  Accident Investigation experience and Qualification with a recognised system (Taproot/ ICAM)  
·  Construction Induction for WHS Delivering presentations and site level training. 
·  Development of management systems
