Role Summary/Purpose

The Control Systems Engineer is responsible for leading the design and implementation of control algorithms and development of application software for engine controls.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Provide technical leadership to personnel / cross functional teams supporting assigned projects

·  Develop models to evaluate system performance, engine and component control system response and conduct trade studies

·  Support T901 Engine, Component, and System Qualification with the Army Customer

·  Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and process improvements and communicate to leadership

·  Participate as a presenter and/or reviewer in technical and program reviews

·  Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures with a path towards US Military qualification
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college

·  A minimum of 3 years of experience in control design and development

·  ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

·  This
role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract
restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require

Desired Characteristics

·  Experience in embedded software design using the SCADE Tool Suite, requirements management, model-based design, simulation, verification,
and qualifiable / certified code generation

·  Experience in software / system verification through desktop simulation, hardware-in-the-loop lab tests (Dry Rig Controls Simulator), engine and flight testing

·  Strong technical aptitude related to components and systems of increasing complexity

·  Experience in developing and implementing linear and nonlinear controls design techniques

·  Knowledge of developing and implementing distributed control framework
·  Strong
teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

·  Ability to work independently
