Role Summary/Purpose
This Electrical Product Definition Engineer role inside of a global scope of the Electrical Auxiliaries Team which includes the electrical sub-systems and components for GE offshore wind turbines.
The purpose of the job is to perform and to maintain up to date the Electrical Cabinets documentation and general Electrical team deliverables like the WTG SLD (Single Line Diagram), WTG BD (Block Diagram) and WTG Communications & Safety Networks.
Essential Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible of the engineering deliverables lead by the Lead Design Engineers.
Responsibilities include:
Full ownership of below deliverables per each Electrical Cabinet and Distribution boxes:
· Electrical wiring diagram
· Electrical Single Line Diagram
· Cabinet general arrangement
· Cable glands entries
· Wire list
· General tolerances of manufacturing and assembly process
· Critical to quality requirement highlight
· BOM (Bill of Materials)
· Labels
o Harness drawings
· Terminal blocks
· Full and proactive requirements capture from Lead Electrical Design Engineers
· Ensure quality and on time delivery of deliverables
· Ensure the as full integrated solution, interface with mechanical, electrical, power conversion and controls
· Perform Engineering Excellence and provide innovative design solutions to deliver world class quality
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering (Preferably electrical) or Professional formation with relevant experience
· Some experience using ePlan P8 electrical CAD tool
· Fluent in English (spoken and written)
· Skilled in electrical component design calculations, drawings creation, specifications and schematics
· EU Work Permit
If contracted in Spain:
Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.

· Knowledge of Standards and Design Codes
· Skilled in electrical component design calculations, drawings creation, specifications and schematics
· Demonstrated system thinking: ability to assess tradeoffs, effectively assess risk, and optimize results
· Experience with electrical CAD tools (NX, AutoCAD & ePLAN)
· Experience with EasyPOWER Simulation tool (Arc Flash, SCCR, Protections settings…)
· Business acumen and customer focus
· Demonstrated ability to work horizontally across stakeholders to influence outcomes
· Strong interpersonal skills including: ownership, self-motivated, problem solving, analytical, team player, communication skills and ability to develop relationships
