If you love technology and want a career in engineering, the Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is for you! EEDP is an entry-level engineering program consisting of rotational assignments and technical training. Essential Responsibilities

The GE Renewable Energy EEDP will prepare you for an exciting career tackling one of the world’s toughest challenge: clean and affordable energy. The program is designed to accelerate your professional development through challenging technical training and a variety of business-critical assignments. As a Renewable Energy EEDP, you will:

- Work on 4 rotations over 2 years in a variety of disciplines/business segments, possibly including Onshore Wind, Offshore Wind, Hydro, Grid Solutions, Hybrid Systems and LM WindPower. These rotations build solid Engineering experiences through real, high profile business priorities.
- Receive technical training via the prestigious Advanced Course of Engineering (ACE). This requires attending and completing successfully 1 year of classroom training and 1 year of project-based training, involving multidisciplinary Engineering analysis, team work, assignments and presentations. Through this and your rotations, you will receive mentorship and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical leaders.
- Participate in leadership development training with GE program members from other business and locations.

As an Edison Engineer in Queretaro, assignments are primarily focused on Onshore Wind. Within Onshore Wind, you have the opportunity to work on a variety of high priority teams, potentially including controls, services engineering (including CM&U, electrical systems, towers, nacelles, reliability, etc), new product engineering (including hubs, towers, drive train, nacelle, power transformer, etc), application and requisition engineering, configuration management, PDE and more.
Qualifications/Requirements

- Recent graduate of Master’s degree in relevant Engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electromechanical, Controls) from an accredited University or College. Exceptional candidates (outstanding academic and extra-curricular records) with undergraduate degree may be considered.
- Maximum 1 year of professional experience.
- Legal right to work in Mexico. GE will not sponsor individuals for legal permits or visas.

Desired Characteristics

- Preference will be given to persons with 90/100 overall or higher GPA.
- Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing.
- Excellent academic records (scholarships, travel bursaries and research projects are a plus). Strong dedication to a career in technology and a real passion for engineering.
- Demonstrated an analytical approach to problem solving, learning agility. Strong mathematical and analytical abilities: excellent command of numerical methods, college-level Mathematics (algebra, calculus), college-level Physics, knowledge of technical drawing and Engineering computing tools (Ansys, Unigraphics/NX, CAD tools, Matlab, or Simulink).
- Excellent Spanish and English communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.
- Demonstrated team building and interpersonal skills, ability to work in project teams in an international environment.
- Unyielding integrity in all business and academic dealings.
- Demonstrated resilience and capacity to adapt to fast-paced changes.
- Time management skills: capacity to configure a balanced routine to enclose project assignments, academic activities and personal time.
