Role Summary/Purpose

If you love technology and want a career in engineering, the Edison Engineering Development Program is for you! EEDP is an entry-level engineering program consisting of rotational assignments and technical training. The program is designed to accelerate your professional development through challenging technical training and a variety of business-critical assignments. Edison graduates have the technical and business foundation to innovate and create the future of energy with GE.
Essential Responsibilities

The GE Renewable Energy EEDP will prepare you for an exciting career tackling one of the world’s toughest challenge – clean and affordable energy. As a Renewable Energy EEDP, you will:  

·  Work on 4 rotations over 2 years in a variety of departments/business segments, possibly including Onshore Wind, Offshore Wind, Hydro, Grid Solutions, Hybrid Systems and LM WindPower
·  Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers
·  Participate in leadership development training with GE program members from other business and locations
·  Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.

The ability to rotate cross teams gives Edisons the opportunity to select different areas including product design, systems, component design (such as towers, machine head, power conversion), controls and operability, advanced technology, testing, aerodynamics, performance, quality, services and more. As an Edison based in Barcelona (Spain), you will be focused on Wind Energy (with both onshore and offshore rotations available). After the first year, two rotations, other select locations inside the EU are available to do an out of country rotation (6 months). Within the EU, rotations in Hydro, Grid Solutions, Hybrid Systems and LM WindPower are possible.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Fluent in English. Other language skills a plus
·  Bachelor degree completed + Master's Degree in Engineering at least finished before 30th June 2020 or equivalent knowledge or experiece
·  Equivalent knowledge or Experience could be also considered (marks will be requested in the interviews) 
·  Strong dedication to a career in technology and a real passion for engineering 
·  Demonstrated an analytical approach to problem solving, learning agility 
·  Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms 
·  Demonstrated and enthusiastic leadership and teambuilding skills 
·  Strong team and interpersonal skills, ability to work in project teams in an international environment 
·  Mobility in Europe 
·  EU Work Permit 

Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation
requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation
Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.

Desired Characteristics

·  Degrees: Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering or Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Civil Engineering or other Energy Engineering related majors will be considered
·  Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in design engineering 
·  High marks will be well considered in the selection
