Role Summary/Purpose
The Commodity Sourcing Intern supports Commodity Site Leaders and Direct Material Sourcing Leader on the assigned daily transactional tasks and other sourcing related tasks.
Essential Responsibilities
• Collect and consolidate market news and follow up selected economy or raw material price indexes
• Perform market scanning upon specific products and / or services as to understand market condition and identify potential suppliers
• Collect supplier performance scorecards and create / visualize the updates of supplier performance continuously
• Strongly and actively participate Pre-Sourcing and Sourcing Committees preparation meetings
• Supplier work-flow and sourcing integration related administrative activities, including but not limited to item activation, eRFQ, creating quotation, approve supplier list, creating sourcing rules, and assign sourcing rules in RACES, supplier information update (contact, address, payment, etc.) in Supplier Connect
• Coordinate with other functions to conduct / support cross-functional integrated actions
• Other tasks to be assigned by management team
Qualifications/Requirements
• Respect company Compliance & HSE rule; fully adhere to company values
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, purchasing or business administration or equivalent knowledges and experiences
• Ability to work in English, in a global environment and matrix organization
• Accountable, detailed-oriented, down-to-earth working attitude
• Strong familiarity with MS Office
• At least 3 whole days per week or 15 days (3 weeks) per month
