Role Summary/Purpose

This work is critical to the success of our business, aimed at servicing and repairing wind turbine blades at any one of our Wind Farms in Scotland, UK, Ireland or Sweden. Working a 40 hr week, likely 3 x weeks at various sites and 1 week locally at base planning work and preparing trips . Working as part of a team of 6 within the UK, with a wider team in Spain and Poland.
Essential Responsibilities

• Performing wind turbine blade repairs, operating equipment and tools.
• Operation of wind turbines, devices, tools working at heights above 300ft with different work access
• Representing LM Wind Power company
• Maintaining communication with team members, cooperating teams, supervisors, in the implementation of tasks while maintaining customer satisfaction at the
highest level
Qualifications/Requirements

• Prior field composite repair experience in the wind turbine industry OR similar ..
• fiber-reinforced epoxy or unsaturated polyester
• SPRAT or IRATA or SPRAT and IRATA. We are looking for Level 2 or level 3 certification
Technical apprenticeship or similar
• Experience at service branch
• Experience working with tools and with rope access or other approach for working at heights
• Ability to work at heights, including suspended platforms and rope access
• Ability to travel around the UK & Europe
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in variable weather conditions
• Prepared to carry out work in a confined space
• Experience and knowledge of work of blade inspection and repairs
• English language

Full training given to understand and be knowledgeable in accordance with the safety rules in force at LM Wind Power.
The role provides broad experience with the opportunities to move to more senior positions in the UK & possibly abroad for LM / GE.
