Role Summary/Purpose

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer provides consultation, management and technical direction in areas such as manufacturing & engineering technology, design & productivity to the manufacturing, engineering & sourcing communities on near-term and longer-range projects with substantial business impact.
The incumbent will have deep domain expertise in subsea engineering, design & manufacturing technology and is responsible for driving solutions through the manufacturing process.

Essential Responsibilities

·  Remain current in the state of the art in manufacturing technology and engineering design for subsea products. Capable of leading new product introduction (NPI) for Subsea, having capability & credibility to influence engineering on design for manufacturability.

·  Drive performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions for subsea products.

·  Lead business initiative in manufacturing technology, quality and productivity

·  Provide engineering support, within manufacturing technology, design and project engineering to teams working on performance, cost reduction and quality initiatives.

·  Leverage expertise to resolve problems during the manufacturing process.

·  Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced technologists. Develop the next line of AME’s through sharing domain knowledge, providing technical guidance, implement training modules and competence programmes as necessary.

·  Execute and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned subsea projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements

·  Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments

·  Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems

·  Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or
tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

·  Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments

·  Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.

·  Ensure the resolution of engineering design and test problems.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and experience

·  Proven years of experience in an engineering/ technology position.

·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead specialist and technicians.

·  Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements

·  Strong oral and written communication skills

·  Ability to guide and influence others

·  Demonstrated process orientation in approach to work
