Role Summary/Purpose
The Advanced Applications Specialist is responsible for gathering customer input and insight for products and applications in development as well as current products/applications in the CT business. This input is used to enhance our product/applications development to ensure we are building customer centric solutions.
Essential Responsibilities
• Providing clinical and technical input on new product definitions and requirements.
• Evaluating performance and quality of new products throughout the development process and after introduction.
• Assisting in creating marketing and sales tools for product shows, marketing literature and presentations.
• Experiment design in radiology & clinical study, follow-up and SCI paper writing after the study.
• Communicating with radiologists to develop new research ideas and improve/maintain customer relationships.
• collaborating with radiologists on making publications with digital solutions like AI, Radiomics.
• Supporting the Global CT business Field Sales, Service and Applications groups with clinical expertise on applications and assisting in employee training for new products and applications.
• Providing expert counsel/training to customers using applications under development.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Master degree in medical physics, bioengineering, compute science, medical imaging or related filed.
• 2+ years experience of big data analysis
• Familiarity with statistical analysis methods, such as logistic regression analysis.
• Basic knowledge of AI, such as modeling and structure of deep learning.
• Great skills in literature retrieval, writing in English, keeping pace with medical research hot spots.
• 2+ years research experience with at least one SCI paper published.
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Willing to travel 20% of the time
Desired Characteristics
• PhD degree in medical physics, bioengineering, compute science, medical imaging or related filed.
• 4+ years experience of big data analysis
• Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and AI(deep learning)
• Willingness to travel within your specified geographic region as well as nationwide
• Strong in reading English literature and writing SCI papers, good communicate skills in English
• solid experience in various medical image processing algorithms in segmentation,registration or pharmacokinetic models; C++, Matlab experience are highly appreciated
• Recent clinical experience with current GE CT equipment and applications.
• Demonstrated project/program leadership experience
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional role
• Extensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
