SSIS/ETL Analyst

Job description

Job Purpose

The SSIS/ETL Analyst is responsible for delivering key MDM solutions to support the data conversion process. The individual will work with SQL Server, Microsoft MDS and SSIS. In addition to Microsoft MDS development, configuration and maintenance, day to day task will also include but not limited to debugging existing packages, provide ad-hoc reports, root cause analysis, creating SSIS packages from scratch.

 

Knowledge ,Skills & Abilities

 

Thorough working knowledge of:

·  SSIS Package development
·  SSISDB deployment
·  T-SQL (store procedure, table functions, triggers, sequence, synonyms)
·  Ability to perform Database/SQL Performance Tuning
·  Database Table normalization/de-normalization
·  Basic Database maintenance routines (backup/restore)
·  Basic Database troubleshooting skills (identify problematic SPID)
·  Microsoft MDS Leaf Entity Staging Mechanism
·  Microsoft MDS Hierarchy (derived, explicit hierarchy)
·  Microsoft MDS Model Management
·  Microsoft MDS Version Management
·  Microsoft MDS Entity and View Management
·  Microsoft MDS Business RulesMicrosoft MDS Configurations (granular security)
·  Master Data Management Concepts
·  Database design principles, programming and best practices using Microsoft SQL Server
·  Design Patterns and Architectural Patterns  Windows Scheduled Task
·  Software Development Life cycle (SDLC)
·  Agile-SCRUM software development methodology

Proficiency In 

·  Development tools like Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio, BIDS, SQL Profiler, TFS, VSS and Eclipse.
·  Proficiency in High Level Design, Detail Design Sequence Diagrams and Technical Documentation. 

Experience In

·  Developing test scripts and conducting unit testing.
·  IIS, Windows Server, SQL Server and Active Directory/LDAP.
·  Build and release activities.
·  Perform quality assurance and testing of SQL server environment.
·  Develop new processes to facilitate import and normalization, including data file for counter parties.
·  Microsoft MDS MDM Concepts and best practices .
·  Business evaluation and restructuring of internal business processes along with the implementation of MDM technology .
·  Successfully implement MDM solution in centralized data that can be analysed, resulting in better business decisions

Preferred Qualification 

·  Bachelor's degree plus 8 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience). 
·  Relevant professional certifications.
