The opportunity

The  EY-Parthenon  strategy team in SaT focuses on addressing CXO agenda in Strategy, Commercial Due Diligence, Integration/divestments and Value Creation. This high-performing team has grown rapidly over the last two years and has experienced hires joining from top management consulting firms. We are very active in the market with several deep accounts focused on key sectors of Consumer, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Resources & Financial Services.

Your key responsibilities:

·  Manage and execute IT related M&A projects – end-to-end from Due Diligence over Day 1 preparation to Carve-out / Post Merger Integration for technology part of transaction
·  Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope of work
·  Assess IT environment of Target business by technology due diligence
·  Estimate the quality and performance of Target IT environment, including cybersecurity
·  Analyze IT costs, including cost synergies that may arise from the transaction / merger
·  Identify gaps and risk associated with IT enablement, IT maturity and IT technical debt
·  Provide recommendations on how to mitigate the risks in the IT M&A context
·  Assess technology architecture from data, infrastructure and integration standpoint to provide comments on reliability and scalability of IT environment
·  Develop key diligence deliverables, including information request lists, interview guides, high-level roadmaps, one time and recurring cost analysis models, benchmark analysis, synergy analysis, contract analysis, IT-related transition service agreement schedules (TSA)
·  Assist with planning and delivery of technology separation of divested businesses (carve-out’s)
·  Plan and execute post-merger technology integration projects (PMI)
·  Participate in business development

·  Ability to collect and utilise relevant business and industry trend information and to analyse this information effectively by applying numerical and strategic analysis techniques;
·  Ability to plan and deliver sections of work against tight deadlines;
·  Share your technical and other knowledge with your team and the department

To qualify for the role you must have

·  A Bachelors degree with outstanding academic performance. Masters degree preferred
·  At least 5 years of professional IT experience, out of which at least 2-3 years of professional experience in managing business strategy and/or M&A strategic diligence projects in complex environments as well as project lead experience as an IT manager/consultant
·  Deep knowledge or expertise in at least one technology area and familiarity with others: IT Infrastructure (DC’s, network) and Cloud Migration, Business Applications and ERP, IT Operating Model, IT Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Data Management, IT Operations, Cybersecurity and Data Protection, Software Development (SDLC)

Ideally, you’ll also have

·  Several years of practical software-related and infrastructure work experience
·  Strong analytical ability in order to draw conclusions and triangulate from large amounts of unstructured information types and sources and excellent problem solving, project management und facilitation skills
·  A solution-oriented mind-set and an unyielding positive attitude to tasks and people
·  Understanding of budgeting process and IT financials
·  Experience in structured frameworks and methodologies with practical implementation (i.e. ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, PMP, Agile/Scrum, CISSP) – gained certificates as a plus
·  Proficient in the English including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment. Additional language skills highly merited
