In EY FS Ireland, we are expanding our Consulting practice and building our Technology Consulting team as a key component of our NextWave Strategy. Your key responsibilities

·  Manages the project management office, delivering all PMO activities for the project. Applies PMO practices and processes ensuring that the project is consistently following Project Management Methodology & tooling
·  Process PMO financial transactions and procurements and ensure effective monitoring, controlling and reporting of the PMO budget.
·  Maintains accurate financial reporting on Finance systems for Finance Projects
·  Support effective management of PMO internal and external resources including vendor management and relationship management.
·  Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of delays, or of features/requirements that are not understood or not clearly defined
·  Maintains a thorough knowledge of project activities, short and long-term business priorities and objectives through regular communication with other functions.
·  Provide status updates regularly to functional directors and project leadership.
·  Collaborating with the client & the key stakeholders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
·  Creating Working Group packs highlighting status of each project under Record Keeping stream (including Risk Acceptances, Risk Prioritisations, Change Requests etc).
·  Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification.
·  Track, monitor, advise and maintain status across Budget, Risks, Issues & Benefits.
·  Minute and support all governance meetings, in line with project methodologies. (Status, Board and Steering)
·  Check that appropriate materials are communicated on time within the governance guidelines.
·  Communicates and presents project information to project team, Finance and other stakeholders.

 

People responsibilities

·  Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring more junior members of staff
·  Be responsible for your own self-development, and maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills
·  Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
·  Help to build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers

To qualify for the role, you must

·  Have at least 3+ yearin a project management office role
·  Experience communicating at all levels from executive to team level. Strong verbal and written skills
·  Experience producing reports to enterprise standard appropriate for a senior audience
·  Experience in planning, organising, and controlling resources and tasks
·  Experience of Project Management / Application Delivery methodologies
·  Have a strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in IT or relevant field
·  Have experience operating in a fast paced, multi-vendor environment.
·  Have knowledge and proven experience of working with IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (SDLC) including Waterfall & Agile
·  Experience in delivering business value from technology
·  Have attention to detail and time management skills
·  Strong MS Office suite skills - Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills essential
·  Understanding of project management software is advantageous.
·  Ability to exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
·  Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills
·  Prove ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication
·  Proven ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships
·  Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly
·  Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail

 

Ideally, you’ll also have e xperience in one or more of the following:

·  Experience working in the financial services industry
·  Analysing systems and procedures
·  Stakeholder Management and working collaboratively with Development and Testing teams to deliver high quality solutions that meet client and user business needs
·  Primary degree in Business/Operations Management or equivalent desirable
·  Extensive relevant experience in project management
·  Have experience in seeking the alignment of business and technology, operating across organisational and technology silos to drive common approaches
·  Have ability to build and manage relationships across business and technology stakeholders
·  Have ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
·  Project Management accreditation preferred
·  Experience with PPM/Clarity - an advantage
·  Previous experience managing budgets preferable
