Our Innovation, Transformation and Technology (ITT) team in PAS focusses on incubating new business ideas and experiments into fully realised client solutions and services.

 

The opportunity

 

We are looking for an experienced web developer to join the Innovation, Technology & Transformation (ITT) team in our People Advisory Services (PAS) business. 

 

This role will focus on the rapid design and development of web-based prototypes to showcase ideas to clients as part of projects and experiments. 

 

Our Innovation team has strong links with other advanced technology and innovation teams in EY both in the UK and worldwide and offers excellent career potential in joining a rapidly growing team.

This role will involve working on the delivery of innovative technology projects, services and prototypes. Key responsibilities include:

 

· 
Working with ITT team members and with clients to identify opportunities to rapidly create web-based prototypes

· 
Build webapps capable of anything native mobile or desktop applications can do

· 
Leading a team of developers

· 
Collaborate with the product development teams (designers, business analysts, product owners, developers and quality assurance) to deliver leading customer experiences

· 
Executing proof-of-concepts and pilots to evolve an idea into a demonstrable solution vision

· 
Communicating results and ideas to key stakeholders and decision makers

· 
Selecting appropriate tools and methodologies

· 
Develop ideas with business analysts to find a pragmatic approach to the rapid delivery of prototypes

· 
Building and testing API interfaces for applications

· 
Influence the architecture/development of an API-driven cloud based platform that is resilient, highly scalable and allows for applications to be deployed independently

· 
Research, evaluate and present new technology services and solutions that fit the business needs

Excellent communication skills to translate complex models and analysis results into layman terms

The ability to work and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of software developers, data scientists, data engineers and subject-matter professionals from ITT and wider PAS

To qualify for the role you must have

 

We expect our teams to be agile in the technology they use, therefore, we are not prescriptive about the technologies you have experience using, as long you as you are eager to use the best available technology for the project and open to working with new tools and approaches.

A work attitude that is curious, collaborative, empathetic, humble, reflective, energetic, and agile

Demonstrable commercial development experience for web-based applications with previous positive feedback from clients

· 
Deep expertise in working with .NET(C#) and JavaScript

· 
Working knowledge of Angular 2+

· 
Database design and development experience

· 
Experience building solutions that are resilient, scalable and manageable

· 
Experience deploying web applications on large cloud-based services provider (e.g. AWS / Azure) and familiar with the underlying architecture

· 
Experience working with Rest APIs

· 
Experience with continuous integration and automated deployment

· 
Experience in Agile development environment

· 
Working with QAs and automated testing (e.g. TDD / BDD)

· 
Set up and use of virtual environments and sandboxes

· 
Use of GIT or similar for source code control and management

· 
Work closely with the Product Owner to develop the backlog and sprint pipeline

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

· 
Experience with of R or Python and relevant external libraries for data manipulation, formatting, cleansing and visualisation

· 
The ability to communicate complex ideas and insights from data analysis
