The Financial Analyst, GL and Reporting will lead various reporting and controlling activities directly or working with team members. The candidate will also participate Controlling Department continuous improvement projects, annual financial planning, and provide related analysis.

Your key responsibilities

·  Various monthly accounting / controlling support, working with other Controlling and Finance staff, liaising with off-shore teams.
·  Planning and Budgeting – co-ordinating development of back-up schedules and documentation, inputting in global tool, reporting and review
·  Management Reporting – preparation, analysis and review of various monthly, quarterly reports
·  Month End Close co-ordination – assisting to ensure smooth processing and high accuracy and quality
·  Account Reconciliations / Bank reconciliations – increasing the depth and detail of documentation
·  Controlling process documentation / handbook, improvements and ongoing updates
·  CBS Department reporting and review with Department leaders
·  Finance Dept process improvement reviews, annual program tracking and project co-ordination
·  Process lead for selective Controlling department processes

Skills and attributes for success

·  Self-starter with strong analytical skills
·  Strong teaming and organization skills with ability to multi-task

To qualify for the role you must have

·  University degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent experience
·  5-7 years of experience in a related area of an accounting or analysis function; strong professional presence with exposure to upper-level management
·  Professional designation, such as CA, CMA or CGA, is strongly preferred
·  Proficient in the use of standard software, including MS Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
·  Experience in accounting, planning, and variance analysis
·  Experience with Law society trust accounting would be preferred
·  Previous experience with SAP is an asset
