EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:

Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster, and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.

Enterprise Workplace Technology (EWT) – EWT supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. EWT will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.

Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.  

Reports to:  On-site Technology Support Event Enablement Leader

Job Summary: 

The EY Technology event coordinator will act as the On-site Technology Support intake manager for meetings and events held in their respective geographic area to provide consistency in the external and in-office service offering.  They will ensure On-site staff are equipped with appropriate knowledge, technology and be able coordinate these activities end-to-end, also ensuring the events are fully staffed.  This includes partnership with Learning & Development, vendors, Talent, and the Global Meeting & Events Services. The EY Technology event coordinator will also need to maintain ongoing relationship with Regional, Country, and Team Leads as well as the Global Event Enablement team ensuring open communication and feedback.  In addition, the ability to build ongoing relationship with other EY Technology teams and Service Line functions to provide relevant services and opportunities.

Essential Functions of the Job:

·  Coordinate and execute the end to end delivery of IT event support.  Managing all technical activities of the event, including pre-event.  Manage and mobilizes onsite logistics (ex: equipment, staffing, etc.) and manage support costs and budget for these events. Post event, provide feedback and reporting to Event Enablement team. 
·  Review and report on the progress and strategy of the external and in-office, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed.
·  Well versed in EY Technology, vendor network infrastructure, EY Loadset, and ability to negotiate costs with vendors.
·  Overall accountability to provide seamless event support throughout external and in-office events
·  Ensure teaming across On-Site technology Support Services, EY Technology, Global Meeting and Event Services, Talent, Learning & Development, local facilities, EY production, other global functions as well as external vendors to ensure effective efficient service delivery, and build relationships
·  Assists with wavespace event activities as required

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

·  Lead regularly scheduled event support peer group calls, allowing individuals to share events happening in their space, current challenges and maintenance needs with EY Technology and intake process.
·  Assist with providing data in overall executive summaries monthly and ensuring the service offerings are meeting or exceeding KPIs.
·  Training on new technology, ensuring all event support specialists are up to date on knowledge and technology
·  Gather and provide collateral through technology and event research to stay up to date and be a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
·  Lead new products introduced to event support from idea-to-concept with an eye towards launch.
·  Works with the business to translate the event agenda into technology readiness
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

·  Ambitious, self-motivated and can thrive when working independently
·  Ability to adapt and take accountability to constantly changing working requirements while assimilating new information, analyzing it, and effectively applying it
·  Well versed in EY Technology, vendor network infrastructure, and vendor partnership
·  Previous experience in event support and coordination of events
·  Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
·  Excellent process management and organization skills
·  Ability to prioritize effectively and strong time management skills while managing multiple projects
·  Working outside normal business hours
·  A team player with the ability to negotiate and navigate through processes internal/external
·  Deadline oriented with good attention to detail as well as works well under pressure
·  Think globally, implement regionally and execute locally
·  Ability to travel if required

Supervision Responsibilities:

The event coordinator will report to the Global Event Enablement Leader and may have indirect reports with event support specialists.  In addition, there may be resources that will be shared among the functional group with numerous On-site staff that will indirectly be managed and motivated through matrix management.

Other Requirements:

The role may generally be supervised remotely and potentially across time zones, using telephone, email and instant messaging.   As such, the role requires the advanced discipline of self-direction and autonomy as needed in a remote working or work from home arrangement. The role may also require the periodic allocation of additional time on the job to ensure multiple demands and escalating issues are managed in a timely manner to restore services.

Job Requirements:

Education:

·  Bachelor's degree in computer related field or equivalent work experience
Experience:

·  Approximately 10+ years of experience in end user technology support, event support and live event management, knowledge of AV industry standards highly recommended
