Role description:     Employee Services Coordinator (Level 1)

Reporting to:            Employee Services Manager

Location:                   Birmingham

Please note this role is a 12-month fix-term contract.

The opportunity

In this role, you will play an important part in the Employee Services team. You will offer efficient and effective processing of HR administration within specific procedural and service guidelines, supporting all activities relating to employment with EY, and during the leaving process. You will be responsible for the accurate and speedy processing of all HR activity in accordance with agreed key performance indicators, and the coordination of information for the precise processing of payroll activity. You will be expected to consider requests in accordance with the firm’s policies, re-directing inappropriate requests and/or obtaining sanction for non-standard solutions.

In the role, you will have the opportunity to develop professional working relationships with HR Business Consultants and key operational customers.You should be committed to your own personal development through completion of appropriate learning, and the development of the team by identifying potential process improvements. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to wider Talent Shared Services and HR projects and initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

· 
Deliver excellent service in line with HR processes and ensure service level agreements are achieved.

· 
Process all administration relating to events affecting employment during service including the production of clear and concise internal communications and updating of HR systems.

· 
Process all administration relating to the ending of employment including production of internal communications, processing of final payments and managing any debts.

· 
Carry out all employment validations and provide written confirmation to third parties, as appropriate.

· 
Action housekeeping and other related reports, taking appropriate actions identified within the reports.

· 
Resolve queries initiated by the EY Help HR team that require further administration/transactions. Ensure satisfactory closure of issues that develop into cases, and ensure any learning is taken on board.

· 
Liaise with the Payroll & Benefits team to ensure consistency of payroll processing and eradication of errors.

· 
Maintain an up to date knowledge of current EY policy and process developments.

· 
Ensure compliance with the firms’ policies, best HR practice and employment legislation at all times.

· 
Regularly support the continuous improvement initiative.

Skills and attributes for success

We are looking for people with previous administration experience, ideally within a service delivery and team environment.

To qualify for the role you must have:

· 
GCSE qualification level or equivalent

· 
An ability to work to and enhance prescribed HR procedures

· 
Attention to detail and a focus upon accuracy and quality

Ideally, you’ll also have:

·  Knowledge of operational HR systems
