Job summary

 

EY Financial Services is a unique, industry-focused business unit that provides a broad range of integrated services that leverage deep industry experience with strong functional capability and product knowledge. The Financial Services Digital practice works with clients to analyze, formulate, design, mobilize and drive strategic transformation initiatives. We advise clients on their most pressing strategic challenges and opportunities surrounding business strategies, customers, growth, profit optimization, innovation, technology strategies and digital transformation. We also have the unique ability to help our clients translate strategy into actionable transformation planning and mobilization. Through our unique combination of competencies and solutions, EY’s Financial Services Digital team helps our clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing strategies to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and by supporting the execution of complex transformations.

 

Key responsibilities

 

We are looking for senior consultants who will be responsible for advising our clients to reshape and transform their businesses through digital in order to deepen end-customer relationships and improve overall business performance. While the individual assignments of a digital strategist will vary depending on client needs, you should expect to be responsible for a wide range of strategic activities which will likely include:

·  Engage directly with client stakeholders and executives to help define their digital vision, strategy, and roadmap, with supporting business case.
·  Drive transformation efforts across enterprises and/or within business units to execute on large scale efforts that include customer journey transformation, product management and scaled Agile
·  Analyze existing platforms, tools, and processes in the client’s digital ecosystem, and recommend innovative, implementable solutions as appropriate based on business and customer needs.
·  Define strategy and design for customer value propositions, working closely with product development team members to devise strategic solutions based on a design-thinking and mobile-first approach
·  Plan and facilitate client workshops around digital vision, innovation, and design.
·  Drive day-to-day responsibilities for client engagements
·  Assess client operating models, identifying gaps, and making recommendations for future improvement.
·  Produce clear, professional presentations and deliverables of superior quality, supported by strategic thinking and analysis, to be delivered to client senior management including C-level.
·  Continuously contribute thought leadership and perform ongoing market research related to digital innovation, providing insight on industry trends, technology, challenges, and leading practices.

You will collaborate with other team members and stakeholders, including extensive engagement with user experience (UX) design team members. You must be willing to take smart risks and champion new ideas.

 

Qualifications, certifications and education

To qualify, candidates must have: 

·  A minimum of three years of post-Bachelor’s work experience (or two years for a Master’s degree); one or more years must relate to digital strategy, customer journey transformation and/or product management (preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated ability working in an agile environment in a complex digital organization with a focus on digital strategy, transformation, and operating model design)
·  Digital thought leader with a solid understanding of the industry including technology, challenges, leading practices, and trends
·  The ability to run workshops with clients to understand needs, articulate vision, and help design strategies and experiences that meet their vision and needs
·  Creative and strategic problem solver who is comfortable with a high level of ambiguity
·  Highly collaborative leader with proven ability to manage teams, provide effective feedback, and coach team members
·  Demonstrated ability to work with senior-level clients in large scale organizations, with strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills, and proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders
·  A solid grasp of UX and user centered design best practices (e.g. design thinking, mobile-first, responsive design) and proven ability to collaborate with product development teams on strategic solutions
·  A passion for digital strategy and innovation, including research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies
·  Candidates must have the ability to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements.
·  MBA graduates are preferred but not required
