The opportunity

As Business Controller within EY you have an impactful and visible function. You will act in a versatile role with a focus on delivering the best possible financial performance of the accounts serviced by EY. In this function you will work closely together with the Service Line partners and lead a team of FMA’s (Financial Management Associates).

A Business Controller within EY is someone who is assertive and capable of giving an accurate opinion in situations that require a clear direction and insight.

·  You show a good sense of business acumen and you can act as the perfect sparring partner. 
·  You understand the requirements to act as a trusted business advisor whenever it is necessary, with a critical and constructive eye on the financial as well as the human aspect.

Key responsibilities

·  You combine financial knowledge with solid advisory skills. On the one hand, you liaise with the Service Line leadership about the planning and forecast, as well as the analysis of the monthly results compared to budget and sales pipeline. On the other hand, you verify write-ups/write-offs and evaluate billing discipline by monitoring high and low (un)billed inventory, estimated realization percentage, margin, productivity and composition of client-serving teams.
·  You present your findings to the Service Line leadership, including exception reporting on remarkable trends and deviations. You create and implement leading and best practices.
·  You help train client-serving executives and drive key initiatives that involve change and process improvement for the organization.
·  You are the key contact person partners are relying on concerning the analysis of financial figures in relation to the business. 

Your profile

·  You hold a Master in Finance or Economics 
·  You have at least 5y of experience, working in a similar role 
·  Experience in Audit / Accountancy is an asset 
·  You are analytical, accurate and have strong data-gathering skills
·  You are able to adapt quickly to changes and handle multiple projects concurrently
·  You have a professional approach and are oriented to quality improvement
·  Throughout your career you already gained experience in working with financial software and Excel
·  You are fluent in French/Dutch + English
