The opportunity


We are looking for a Business Analyst within the Audit team in our Adelaide office. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis.

 

Your key responsibilities
· 
Collaborate with the Product Manager to understand the business drivers and business needs from the Business Owner and other stakeholders

· 
Collaborate with the Product Manager, Business Owner, Engineering Lead and UX Designer on turning business needs into high-level product features

· 
Convert high-level product features into clear, actionable, appropriately sized user stories from which the development teams can build. These user stories may include: visual designs, process flows, API definitions, use cases, DB model.

· 
Work closely with the UX/UI designer on turning high-level product features and user stories into wireframes and visual designs

· 
Drive review meetings facilitated by the Scrum Master. Ensure that user stories developed fulfilled acceptance criteria and business needs. Create new user stories or bugs accordingly.
Skills and attributes for success  
· 
Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Business Analyst developing web-based applications, along with knowledge of accounting processes

· 
Minimum 2 years’ experience working primarily on automating audit processes

· 
Demonstrable experience converting complex requirements and business processes into straightforward user stories

· 
Demonstrable experience working with Scrum and advanced audit software

· 
Demonstrable experience working closely with UX/UI designer
Ideally, you’ll also have  
·  Experience working for a large professional services company (consultancy / digital agency)
· 
Intermediate knowledge in accounting, like expense and revenue testing processes performed by audit personnel. Examples include data capture and transformation, sampling, detailed testing, and workpaper creation

· 
Experience working in OCR Services like ABBYY
