Job description
ENGIE are recruiting for a Pricing Analyst to be based in Leeds (LS12 1BE). This is a 12 month fixed-term contract which involves working full-time hours. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
Purpose of Job
To propose and deliver solutions which will help us to keep the competitive edge in a highly complex UK retail business energy market.
To ensure the pricing and quoting systems are tested, maintained and updated as necessary.
To provide appropriate level of query management and support to the wider business in respect of pricing activity for catalogue products as well as new propositions for both gas and electricity (import and export).
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of projects and programmes by providing subject matter expertise where appropriate
Provide support to product development and bespoke product development
Undertake maintenance of pricing related data in relevant systems
Provide support in the testing of any pricing related system changes and assist with the implementation of system and process improvements
Assist in the definition of pricing policies and define the pricing methodologies to help ensure a framework that is effectively implemented and operated across the business
Understand and manage economic, market and regulatory issues impacting on pricing. Communicate and contribute to the management and resolution of any issues.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g. maths, economics, statistics or physics)
Proven ability to analyse complex numerical problems from studies and/or work experience
Sound knowledge of retail pricing policies/methodologies and systems
Sound knowledge of elements that contribute to final delivered prices and cost items incurred by business in the course of gas and electricity supply
Knowledge of Retail products, UK B2B and commodity markets
Strong problem solving skills including the use of creativity to resolve novel problems to the business's advantage
Ability and confidence to interact with internal and external parties at all levels
Proficient in MS Office including Advanced Excel skills with the ability to use the IF function and VLOOKUPS and create Pivot Tables from large data-sets
Desirable
Knowledge and experience of VBA and Access
Experience of retail pricing techniques and systems
