The Role: Business Development Analyst

Purpose
The Business Development Analyst is involved with the early stages of each prospective client relationship. This individual works together with ENGIE Distributed Solar's internal business units to compile the information needed to generate proposals, business plans and contracts that meet the unique needs of each prospective client.

An ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, organizational and technical skills with the ability to multi-task, manage priorities all while exhibiting a positive, professional attitude. This role is anticipated to learn and manage all internal processes relating to utility client proposals for solar and/or energy storage projects connected to the distribution system (1 to 30MW). The role is expected to grow into a client facing opportunity.

Essential Job Functions
·  Primary responsibility for managing process and inputs for responses to requests for proposals from clients
·  Completes site filtering and preliminary solar project development
·  Creates and assigns tasks for Engineering and Project Management teams
·  Early-stage project goal setting; maintains schedules and deadlines
·  Assists with contract drafting and tracking of requirements / compliance
·  Works with finance team on project economics and financial modeling
·  Proposal and business plan generation based on information gathered from team members
·  Creates and assigns tasks for Engineering and Project Management teams
·  Works with development team to develop projects after RFP awards are received
·  Assists development team in presenting pre-contract projects to clients
·  Ensures that ENGIE Distributed Solar is following internal pre-contract project procedures
·  Manages pre-contract execution projects and timelines via SalesForce
·  Works with internal teams to submit internal project approval memos to management

·  Ability to use personal computer, etc.
·  Could involve some lifting.
·  Likely to involve some travel

Education/Experience

·  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Environmental Science or related discipline
·  Minimum of 2 years' experience in an energy, utility, analytical or sustainability related role
