The Job Holder will be appointed as an Engie Southern Africa employee reporting to CFO Engie Southern Africa @ Woodmead, Johannesburg – South Africa.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Watch & Assess
Contributing to the watch and assessment of the regulation, in particular with respect to finance, accounting, internal control and geopolitical matters
Watching and assessing of best practices related to finance at shareholders and regional level
Understanding of the Investment models, being informed about operations and impacts on the financial reporting and asset optimization opportunities
Objectives & KPI’s
Financial Compliance of Engie East Africa Development company
Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting and analysis of Solaire Contracting
Manage External Audit of Engie East Africa and Solaire Contracting
Cash management – ensure working capital needs are met, performance guarantees are in place and managed, and maximize the return on available cash
Assist in the integration and mobilization of new company
Preparation and review of Medium Term Plans (Budgets)
Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
Ensure all entities are tax compliant (VAT, Income, Transfer Pricing)
Procedures, methods & sharing
Implement and Improve the ERP systems of various companies
Establish and/or revise internal controls, policies and procedures
Interface with ENGIE FP&A, Consolidation, IFRS, Tax, Risk and Corporate Finance Teams
Interface with ENGIE Solar Finance
Interface with ENGIE Africa Power & Gas Business Line

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified CA with at least 3 years post articles experience
WORK EXPERIENCE
Understanding of local tax law & transfer pricing risks
Financial reporting experience required
Financial, Planning and Analysis experience required
Preparation of short and long term Budget/Forecast required
Excellent MS office computer skills required
Multinational Company experience a plus
Experience in East Africa a plus
LANGUAGE
Excellent command of English (verbal and written).
