Job description
The European Maintenance Support organisation, based in Linkebeek (BE) and Zwolle (NL), is responsible for maintaining turbines, alternators, high-voltage installations, and power station boilers. Our specialized technicians and engineers work on our customers' installations both inside and outside Europe. We offer a wide range of services, ranging from specific maintenance expertise to turnkey maintenance solutions.
To strengthen our department we are looking for a Battery and grid integration engineer .
Your mission
·
Build up expertise in the field of grid integration of electrical batteries in order to become a reference in this domain inside and outside ENGIE.
·
Support both ENGIE and non-ENGIE sites in the integration of electrical batteries in existing medium and high voltage grids by taking the role of owners engineer.
·
Follow up of all on site construction activities during the realisation phase of battery projects (civil works, mechanical works, electrical works).
·
Support tender processes for the development of electrical battery projects.
·
Support of feasibility studies for electrical battery projects.
·
Play a key role in th interface between the battery supplier and the site project leader to ensure a fluent project implementation.
·
Conduct basic engineering activities including spec writing for battery intergration projects
·
Conduct FAT and SAT test of the electrical equipment connecting the battery to the grid.
The GENERATION EUROPE BU combines ENGIE's thermal generation activities in a single entity to meet the business challenges of the energy transition. The BU's scope of activity covers the management, operation and maintenance of natural gas, biomass and large-scale Combined Heat Power assets in different countries.

Your profile:
·
Civil or industrial electrotechnical or electromechanical engineer
·
3-5 years relevant experience in the domain of high voltage equipment or electrical battery systems as project leader
·
Experience with project management
·
Experience on powerplants is a plus
·
You have knowledge about testing techniques in the electrical domain
·
You have a broad technical knowledge (electrical but also mechanical and struction works)
·
You have specific business understanding of : Energy technology, high voltage equipment, electrical, engineering, electrical batteries, powerplants, project management.
