Under the general direction of the Claims, Provider and Mailroom Manager, the EDI Analyst is responsible for the daily transmission and processing of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) 837- Health Care Claims, 835- Health Care Claim Payment/Advice and 277CA- Claim Acknowledgment.  The EDI Analyst will assist billing agencies, clearinghouses and providers in researching and analyzing claims data. The Analyst will conduct EDI contract reviews, enter EDI applications and take daily phone calls in the EDI helpdesk to assist submitters. They will have additional responsibilities as requested per management. They will support their co-workers, engage in positive interactions, and provide helpful assistance in anticipating and responding to the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities

·  Answer incoming phone calls from providers, billing agencies and clearinghouses to resolve and review claim submissions into the Oklahoma SoonerCare program.
·  Electronic Data Interchange file processing, verification, error identification, and resolution.
·  Communicate with various external facilities and vendors regarding EDI issues such as missing or corrupt files, reviewing of claims data
·  Ability to review and describe remittance files
·  Download, load and process Lockbox files
·  Reconcile daily error reports
·  Resolve claim errors and claim denials
·  Support co-workers and engage in positive interactions.
·  Communicates professionally and timely with internal and external customers
·  Demonstrates friendliness by smiling and making eye contact when greeting all customers.
·  Provides helpful assistance in anticipating and responding to the needs of our customers.
·  Collaborates with customers in planning and decision making to result in optimal solutions.
·  Ability to stay calm under pressure and deal effectively with difficult people

Education and Experience

·  High School Diploma or equivalent
·  1-2 years working experinece
·  EDI experience
·  Claims processing
