Danone North America is looking for a Production Supervisor, Processing--Nights in Dallas, Texas.This role is responsible for shift ownership (approximately 13-15 operators), within the Processing cell of a Business Unit team, and reports directly to a Business Unit Manager. He/she will be accountable for delivering the performance within the shift, and to ensure that products are produced in line with safety, quality and consumer requirements. Incumbents are responsible for ensuring that daily, weekly, and monthly production KPIs are met for People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth. This is a complex, fast paced production setting. Please note this is a night shift position, working a 2-2-3 type schedule from 6p-6a.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Train, coach, mentor, and provide feedback/recognition to associates
·  Ensure that set standards are adhered to at all times with regard to Safety and Quality
·  Lead the Business Unit by ensuring daily focus on SQDCG (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Growth) visual management process to ensure goals and consumer needs are met
·  Responsible for monitoring the performance and corrective actions for the Business Unit, ensuring that information boards are continually updated with daily, weekly and monthly information
·  Review long-term data trends and facilitate remedial activities using CI methodologies to determine root cause and fix
·  Ensure that Safety, Quality and 5S auditing and corrective measures are complete for all areas within the Business Unit
·  Develop detailed manpower and material resourcing plans to ensure that bottlenecks are removed and all delivery commitments are met on time and in full
·  Champion the deployment of business systems
·  Lead / facilitate / participate in continuous improvement events
·  Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, keeping teams updated regarding issues affecting performance and seeking guidance where needed
·  Lead the team and manage any employee relation matters, with guidance sought from HR
·  Ensure appropriate knowledge of facility and industry related regulations, support and deploy all plant initiatives such as: MOS (management operating system), TPM (total productive maintenance), Maintenance Excellence, SQF (safe quality foods), etc.
·  Maintain audit ready status

About you:

·  Bachelor degree (Prefer Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial Engineer, Operations Management) with a minimum of 3-5 years related supervisory experience within a food or beverage manufacturing setting. Prior Dairy industry experience preferred.
·  Combination of education, experience or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required will be considered in lieu of degree.
·  Prior experience managing within a union environment preferred.
·  The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced environment.
·  Strong leadership skills
·  Competency in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and SAP and/or CMMS programs
·  Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
·  Resourcefulness and decision-making ability.
·  Must have the ability to work under pressure and potentially stressful conditions.
·  Under minimal direction, works independently toward department objectives.
·  Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
·  Must have the leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required to interact with all levels of plant personnel and be comfortable working with minimal supervision.
·  Working knowledge of break down analysis/root cause analysis tools with preventative and predictive concepts.
·  The ability to serve as a change agent who is able to 'make it happen' while building positive relationships on a foundation of trust and mutual respect.
·  Energy, resilience, determination, enthusiasm and strong analytical skills to challenge the status quo.
·  The ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and quickly resolve complicated problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
·  The ability to maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
·  The willingness to work flexible schedules as needed to support 7-day per week, 24-hour per day production facilities. Work schedules could include off-shift or weekend work.
