Overview:
Continental Engineering Services (CES) is seeking a Resident Engineer who will be challenged to satisfy customer's needs as an integral part of a global and diverse team for the next generation of vehicles. Candidate will be responsible for coordination of activities between Customer and Continental to make the production launch successful.

Core Responsibilities:
• Technical Customer Interface between Customer Plants and Continental
• Technical support to Continental departments (Quality, Mfg, SQM, spare parts, logistics and warranty) including:
­ New Model Launch
­ Serial Production
­ End of life time
­ Spare parts
• Coordination of all customer relevant activities for North America Customer
• Member of Customer WW development team, pro­active internal and external communication to maintain close link to core team and maintain system knowhow.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Support of sample deliveries, including preparation/documentation/test/release.
• Coordination of New Model Review (Process Owner at Continental with full responsibility towards customer) –process. Equivalent to Continental gate reviews.
• Attend and actively support internal key­meetings (PACT, workshops etc.)
• Maintain close contact and relationship to customer based on trust and reliability
• Coordinate and support root cause analysis and investigation of intermediate and final countermeasure in case of field incidents

• Leading contact Market Quality and Challenge Quality groups at customer for field incidents for HAM and HCM.
• Support and monitor logistics activities. Coordination of emergency issues towards any customer MFG plant in North America.
• Re­flash support for SRS units as needed (in bench and vehicle)
• Support trouble shooting and root cause analysis for technical issues
• Be an expert in customer systems, tools and terminology, as it relates to our products and their platforms
• Build a strong trusting relationship with customer and Continental team members
• Submit documentation for Part Approval process to the different customer plants
• Support Customer QAV visits for Supplier Improvement and Quality related Issues.
• Participate in BOM and dwg review at customer plants
• Support Engineering changes, Internal and customer (follow up IPPAAR process, eDCIS )
• Assistance with other tasks as needed and determined by Management

Required Qualifications:

• Availability to travel to USA and Germany is desirable
• Ability to perform fault isolation and troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently or within a team oriented environment
• Effective communication, interaction and collaboration within the team and customer
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
• Working knowledge of CATIA
• Proficient in English and Spanish language

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience testing and the developed modules in a real vehicle is a plus
• Understanding of the vehicle system
• Experience negotiating with external customers is a plus
• Knowledge in CAN communications: modules configuration, CAN messages
• Reading Knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams
• Experience with release processes
