Poste et missions:

Saint-Gobain ADFORS R&D team supports the business unit in developing new technology/product and improving manufacturing processes focusing on textile manufacturing. The VIE is needed to support the team in reinforcement product development, expand existing technical capabilities, and bring relevant technology/best practice from French team to the US and vice versa.  

In this role as a VIE you will:

- Support trouble shooting activities in ADFORS manufacturing plant

- Participate in multi-disciplinary team for new product development

- Explore and develop new coating formulations for construction reinforcement

- Explore new reinforcement technologies for the emerging markets

- Depending on capabilities, lead an R&D project for product development

- Conduct critical experiments and generate data with proper scientific considerations for variability, sample preparation, prototyping and manufacturing process

- Conduct material characterization, mechanical & chemical resistance testing of fiberglass based fabrics

- Explore appropriate materials & structures and methods of manufacture related to reinforcement products

- Communicate and present key results in reviews

- Write technical reports to document key learnings and file relevant IP if applies

Profil:
BS/MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Polymer Science or related fields

Knowledge of textiles manufacturing is preferred

Good team collaboration, results-oriented and problem-solving skills.
