Position Description
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI Federal. We are seeking a Videographer to support operations at our Ft. Eustis, VA location.

The overall goal of the TRADOC G-2 Operational Environment Center (OEC) facilitates and acts as the principal enabler for continuous learning across all TRADOC lines of effort through acquiring, analyzing, creating, organizing, applying and transferring data, information, and knowledge in the context of current and future operations. The OEC is responsible for delivering the OE to facilitate the training of deploying units on joint, national and interagency information, emerging asymmetric capabilities gleaned from world-wide operations; integrating processes, practices, concepts and materiel capabilities into Joint and Service DOTMLPF solutions; and coordinating with the training centers to provide realistic enemy and environmental signatures into models and simulations in support of realistic training. Position is located at Fort Eustis, Virginia. All work is required to be completed on site.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Basic Functions:
The Operational Environment Center (OEC) Gaming and Visualizations (G&V) branch provides 3D visualizations, dynamic scenarios, and games for training which replicate the operational environments encountered by Department of Defense personnel. Our Videographers are a vital part of the G&V team integrating with all team roles (3D Modelers, Programmers, Terrain Engineers, and Scene Designers) and are responsible for all aspects of video production. Merging the past and the future, this role is responsible for classic videographer tasks like capturing, editing, and producing as well as being able to integrate digital motion graphics and video game vignettes to create realistic scenes.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Utilize video production skills to create videos, including, but not limited to, shooting (in-simulation capture), directing, producing, script writing, graphic design, sound design/recording, and editing.
• Work with industry standard software (After Effects, Photoshop, Premier Pro, etc.) at an expert level to create various forms of visually delivered media.
• Be an integral part of converting real-time battlefield events and future battle concepts into story boards and digital content that is clearly conveyed
• Participate in design sessions and assist in the development of visualizations and virtual exercise scenarios based on current combat Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.
• Assist the OEC G&V branch in the creation of digital products based current events and training scenarios.
• Assist in the research of new software applications with regards to constructive and virtual training.
• Attend meetings and briefings pertinent to the acquisition of information regarding recent battlefield events as required.
• Support the OEC multi-echelon training mission.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Experience in the full range of video production skills is necessary.
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in a field related to Mass Communications, Journalism, or Communications.
• 5 years experience in video production and editing, using all formats, and television graphic design
• Considerable knowledge and ability to use video production equipment, and software including linear and non-linear editing (Adobe Premier, etc).
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both orally and in writing.
• 3 years experience writing and editing scripts for video production.
• Ability to record and edit sound files and edit sound effects into video production.
• Ability to prioritize several tasks at once, able to solve problems individually and as a team.
• Ability to provide accurate and constructive recommendations to improve videos and scripts produced.
• A team player who works well with others.
• Previous military/deployment experience preferred
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information.
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
