Performance Test Engineer

Position Description
Works independently under limited supervision and applies knowledge of subject matter in Applications Development. Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively deal with issues, challenges within field of specialisation to develop simple applications solutions. Second level professional with direct impact on results and outcome.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Create test cases from performance requirements for business critical scenarios

Create robust performance scripts using Open Source Tools like Jmeter, licensed tools LR and Neoload with different protocol

Expertise in various protocols in LR

Design effective controller scenario based on client’s inputs, execute performance run and capture various performance metrics like CPU, Memory, throughput, response times and more.

Involve in monitoring all the servers at the time of test execution.

Analyze response times of critical business processes and transactions to establish whether they are within documented expectations.

Create Preliminary and final performance execution summary report

Understanding the System Architecture and the components involved in the applications.

Analyze server logs, GC logs to identify memory leaks and other performance bottlenecks.

Understand Non-functional Requirement Documents and come up with performance testing scope and objectives

Setup and configure HP Sitescope to monitor performance test servers. App and Web server configuration with Dynatrace and Appdynamics

Monitoring and in depth analysis of the system resources and health during and after test execution using HP SitesScope and other application monitoring tools

Understanding application architecture and overall technology landscape

Identify key Performance test configuration and ensuring to set up all the required performance monitors for all components

Create dashboard with tools like New Relic for the monitoring purpose.

Involve in analyzing the problems using Transaction Breakdown, Network Monitoring and Resource Monitoring.

Has to be knowledgeable in CICD and Dev Ops tools

Involve in Performance Engineering activities

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Hands-on experience in HP LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad
- Good understanding of Scripting, Workload Modelling, Monitoring, Performance result Analysis
- Hands-on experience in Performance Diagnostic tools like AppDynamics, CA Wily, New Relic, Dynatrace, Open source tools like ELK
- Mentor the team and troubleshoot blockers/issues
