Position Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION

CGI is looking to build a specialized Guidewire Practice that will lead all Guidewire implementations and managed services for CGI customer in New England. CGI has Guidewire teams in Europe, India and Canada. We need to build a local Guidewire Leadership team that will lead CGI Guidewire team members assigned to local projects (US New England). This is a great opportunity to show case your deep Guidewire knowledge and skills to help build a highly effective Guidewire team.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Initial assignment is to lead the technical implementation of Guidewire Policy Center Cloud for a customer’s Massachusetts Commercial Auto and Garage LoBs. In the first phase, PC Cloud will be integrated with the customer’s legacy billing and claims systems. PC-Cloud will be integrated with Duck Creek’s AgentPortal and multiples external services. Later project phases include replacing the legacy Billing and Claims solutions with Guidewire BC and CC.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
This candidate must possess the following skills and experience.

• Must have filled a Guidewire lead role in with multiple Guidewire Policy Center implementations in the US for commercial or personal auto.

• Possess expert knowledge implementing Guidewire PC for US carriers (+5 years experience implementing P&C systems in the US)

• Must possess deep P&C industry experience and business knowledge

• Experience with Policy Conversion into PC

• Familiar with common integrations needed with Policy Center implementations

• Experience filling Guidewire architect role with solid understanding of PC Configuration and Integration roles.

• Experience leading a globally distributed team

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills include documenting architecture and system diagrams.

• Expert knowledge of Guidewire standards, user stories

• Strong understanding of project life cycle and SDLC methodologies including RUP, RAD, Waterfall and Agile.

• Guidewire PC Configuration Development (GOSU, Rules Engine, Data Model, PCF, Wizards, Workflow, Activity and Product Model development)

• Familiar with GW PC Edge and APIs (Design and develop Guidewire integration components, including plug-ins, APIs, messaging and supporting business rules)

Ideal candidate with possess the following additional skills and experience:

• Experience implementing Guidewire Policy Center for Commercial Auto LoBs in the US.

• Guidewire certification (v9 or higher/ACE)

• Experience implementing Guidewire PC integrated with a non-Guidewire Agent Portal (enables Independent Agents to quote, sell and support the Carriers products). Guidewire Product Certifications in both configuration and integration.

• Experience working with Guidewire Professional services assigned to projects

• Experienced Integration and PC Configuration Lead

SKILLSET YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PROFICIENCY LEVEL

Experience filling Guidewire PolicyCenter Lead (Integration, Config or Functional) 5 Years
Expert in at least one of these roles

Guidewire architect role 2 years Skilled with application architecture

P&C Industry Experience 8 Years Expert P&C product knowledge

Auto and Commercial Line of Business Experience for US Carriers 3 Years Expert knowledge of common Auto coverages, product definitions, and external services such as LexisNexis, CLUE, Registry of Motor Vehicles.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Experience leading Agile and Agile Hybrid projects.

• Extensive experience in UML Modeling like Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Use case Diagrams, Data flow diagrams, Class diagrams and Process work Flow Diagrams Experience with Jira

• Strong understanding of project life cycle and SDLC methodologies including RUP, RAD, Waterfall and Agile.

• Demonstrated knowledge and demonstrated ability with Java or GOSU programming

• Java, REST, and SOAP Web Services expertise
