Position Description
We have a requirement for a Business Analyst for our dynamic team in Lafayette, Louisiana.

CGI Business Analyst will responsible for the effective delivery of a modern system / solution leveraging traditional waterfall project management methodologies with a transition to Agile. The new solution will be the center of a “Ecosystem” of multiple system integration points to meet the following objectives:

• Provide a central comprehensive management system to track specific program and business needs.

• Produce required reports and key performance indicators.

• Utilize advanced analytics and selection logic to best meet a customer requests.

• Integrate with other existing technologies as part of the "Ecosystem."

Fundamentally the system will be built with the following high level tools / technologies:

• Web Application User Interface: Angular + Bootstrap

• Representational State Transfer (REST) Services / Backend: .NET Core 2.0

• Workflow and Rules Engine: Decisions

• System Integrations: RabbitMQ, IBM ESB

• JIRA, Bitbucket, REST Services, Web Services, ETL, etc…

Your future duties and responsibilities
CGI Business Analyst will report to the Lead Business Analyst and will be responsible for requirement gathering sessions with user groups using appropriate methods, gather and document business and functional requirements for the software design and configuration. The System Specialists will be responsible for creating all business design documents including system flows, data mapping, data dictionary, transition documents etc.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The Business Analyst should have experience translating business requirements into clear, well-written documents for client sponsors and internal technical team members.

Business analyst qualifications, excellent communication and writing skills, ability to work closely with the project team, dedication to the successful delivery within tight timelines, and ability to work with a onshore remote delivery team by leveraging both traditional and Agile project management methodologies. Understanding of the technologies to be used a plus but not required.
